URenameIT is an easy to use, time saving file renamer and internal ID3 tag editor with many advanced features. Transform poorly named files into intelligently named ones with a few simple clicks!
URenameIT has an extensive feature set allowing the renaming of individual or multiple files in virtually any manner. URenameIT supports all the common operations you would expect and includes some unique options not found elsewhere.
Sequential renaming using numbers or character ranges. Use file properties to assign new names, modify attributes, set date and time stamps. Perform advanced renaming using SoundEx, Caesars cipher, and parse various types of documents to extract a particular line for the file name. Many operations are geared towards cleaning, including space removal and consolidation, case management, normalizing, and padding.
In addition, the find and remove abilities against sub strings or positions is near surgical in its nature. The extensive list of features provides many easy ways to apply changes to multiple files targeting the name, extension, or entire file name. Managing MP3 ID3 tag information has been made as simple.
URenameIT provides the ability to handle version 1.x and 2.x and can perform actions such as deleting all tags, performing copies or moves between different versions of tags, and mass set tag information. File names can even be set using the internal tags from each file. URenameIT allows the user to preview and perform any last minutes changes by hand and provides the ability to log the renaming actions.
In addition, frequently performed operations can be saved to a template. Anyone who must handle multiple files - such as digital camera enthusiasts, graphic designers, or MP3 collectors will benefit from URenameIT.
